Post SCBWI Conference Pandemonium

Okay, the conference has been over for four days, and I'm finally getting back into the swing of things here in the studio. What an exciting and inspirational four days! This year I met and had fun with so many creative and excellent people that I now feel I can hide out for several months in my studio, (the Art Cave), and create with the reckless abandon of a true illustration hermit, without the feeling that life really is just passing me by outside the window.

Too much going on! from meetings with other members of the illustrious "Studio 5", to minor surgery, it all seems designed to keep me from my primary purpose: to draw like the wind. ...Okay, really I ought to be drawing BETTER than the wind. I'll post some sketches later today, and possibly some of the latest artwork as well.

The refined cover sketch for the middle grade novel is due today, as well as initial roughs for the back cover, busy busy busy, so back to the drawing board!
